Nicole is a writer and educator from Cincinnati, Ohio, who specializes in college consulting, physics, creative writing, and Mandarin. Drawing from her experiences learning Mandarin, serving as a teaching assistant at Dartmouth, and tutoring English as a second language in China, Nicole teaches concepts through relatable, accessible terms. Whether she's jumping to demonstrate the meaning of "across" or putting a student in an imaginary rocketship to understand special relativity, Nicole aims for lessons to permeate the student's very being.

Nicole has worked extensively in the college application field, having edited hundreds of college application essays and worked with students one-on-one who have been accepted into top universities. For Nicole, the college application process is not just about getting into school—it's a pivotal step in a student's adult journey, and she strives to help students build the foundations for articulating their own paths and dreams.

Nicole holds a master's in China Studies from Peking University and a Bachelor's in physics and history from Dartmouth, where she graduated magna cum laude and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Alpha Tau. Her master's thesis explored Chinese American narratives of returning to hometowns, analyzing the generational trauma shaping protagonists' psyches. When Nicole isn't teaching, she can be found writing, reading, or rollerskating.
